A man without Chicago car insurance died tonight after he jumped into the south branch of the Chicago River to elude police, officials said.
The man, believed to be in his early 20s, was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:16 p.m., according to hospital spokesman Marcel Bright.
